ABOUT OUR CAUSE
For 17 years the Women's 5K Classic has reached out to the Lehigh Valley and surrounding local communities
to provide an outlet to promote fitness among women, and invite women to participate in running and walking
for the enhancement of their physical, mental and emotional well-being. Additionally, the Women's 5K Classic,
supports women with all female cancers and their families with contribution to funding for related programs
and research within the Lehigh Valley. Education for women about cancer awareness, prevention, and treatment,
is also provided.
This event is coordinated and supported by an all volunteer race committee and board of directors. Their
generous time and talent commitment has helped to make this one of the largest Lehigh Valley non-profit
efforts. Since it is an all volunteer effort your every dollar goes to fundraising for the Women's 5K Classic
and helps to underwrite the grant allocations.
The Mission: For Women's fitness, for cancer survivors, for cancer education, for life.
Some races are for kicks, some are for glory, this race is for LIFE!

WHY SPONSOR?
The Women's 5K Classic will use funds collected from the race/walk to not only support research for a cure
tomorrow, but also to provide programs which address the needs of women living with Cancer today, all while
promoting female fitness.
Because we can fight this by simply running and creating sisterhood, and because we can chose to help thousands
of women, we are now getting closer to the hour when no woman will have to hear the words, "You have Cancer".
